This is our "Getting Started" guide to using iJam.net. iJam will ultimatly include a high performance
realtime compression engine, allowing musicians to convert in realtime their ANALOG instruments
into MP3 format for transmitting over the internet. Musicians are no longer limited to MIDI instruments
for Internet Jamming! Finally something other then keyboards! However iJam.net is also a virtual studio, allowing musicians to listen, swap, and compile tracks. Using programs such as Cakewalk we can mix tracks together, adjust time and volume, and punch tracks in and out. Depending on the software used, all studio functions can be replicated using our computers! When used in this manor, iJam.net serves as a common repository for tracks, and is not dependent on connection speed or computing power. You already have what you need to start jamming now! |
